In cooperation with Deloitte, the FBA is organising a tax session on client tax integrity. DNB and ABN AMRO have also agreed to present and share their views/experiences. The purpose of this tax session is to provide insight in how to deal in a practical manner with the challenges that come along with this difficult topic of client tax integrity. The starting point in this discussion is the legal framework banks specifically need to abide by in the Netherlands focussed on the integrity risk management and customer due diligence of a particular bank. An important question for each bank is how to embed this legal framework in its procedures to gain sufficient insight and control in the tax integrity risks of their clients and how to address aggressive tax planning / tax aggressive structures in their risk appetite.
